Beauty Queen ‘Whose Boyfriend Threw Acid In Her Face’ Speaks On TV For The First Time After Ordeal
“I want you to see what he did to me. This isn’t love.”
Those were the anguished voice of 28-year-old former Miss Italy finalist Gessica Notaro who was attacked outside her home on the east coast of Italy in January, leaving her with horrific burns and fearing she could be blinded.
Gessica, who was allegedly bathed with acide by an ex-boyfriend, tpday revealed her shocking scars on TV for the first time.
She has spent two months undergoing treatment for her gruesome injuries, which includes wearing a mask for most of the day across her wounded face.
While on the Italian TV show, she removed a scarf that had covered her face saying she wanted to show viewers what she had gone through.
Despite the fact that the TV host prompted her to keep her scarf on if she liked, Gessica said: “I want you to see what he did to me. This isn’t love.”
“While the acid ate away at my face I was on my knees praying. I prayed to God: take away my beauty but at least leave me with my sight.”
She is still awaiting plastic surgery and is spending £600 a month on medication for the pain.
Gessica’s 29-year-old former lover Jorge Edson Tavares was promptly arrested in connection with the horrific assault.
